Low Sulphur Heavy Stock (LSHS) is a type of residual fuel oil, often used in industrial settings, particularly in marine vessels and power plants. Reliance Industries, through its Jamnagar refinery, produces LSHS, among other products, as part of its integrated oil-to-chemicals (O2C) business. LSHS is a byproduct of crude oil refining, left over after lighter fractions are distilled.

Fuel oil consists of long-chain hydrocarbons, particularly alkanes, cycloalkanes, and aromatics. Small molecules, such as those in propane, naphtha, gasoline, and kerosene, have relatively low boiling points, and are removed at the start of the fractional distillation process. Heavier petroleum-derived oils like diesel fuel and lubricating oil are much less volatile and distill out more slowly. Oil has many uses; it heats homes and businesses and fuels trucks, ships, and some cars. A small amount of electricity is produced by diesel, but it is more polluting and more expensive than natural gas. It is often used as a backup fuel for peaking power plants in case the supply of natural gas is interrupted or as the main fuel for small electrical generators.

Light crude oil is liquid petroleum that has a low density and flows freely at room temperature. It has a low viscosity, low specific gravity and high API gravity due to the presence of a high proportion of light hydrocarbon fractions. It generally has a low wax content. Light crude oil receives a higher price than heavy crude oil on commodity markets because it produces a higher percentage of gasoline and diesel fuel when converted into products by an oil refinery.

Opal C9 Solvent, a petroleum-derived hydrocarbon solvent, is primarily used in various industrial applications, notably in the paint and coatings industry, as well as in printing inks. It functions as a thinner, reducing viscosity, and enhancing application properties. Beyond paints and inks, it finds use in adhesives, agrochemicals, and as a fuel.

MTO is also known as white spirit which consists of volatile fractions derived from crude oil, containing paraffin, naphthenic and aromatic hydrocarbons in different proportions. MTO's finds its application to dissolve resins, rubber and bitumen. A mixture of aliphatic, open-chain or alicyclic C7 to C12 hydrocarbons, white spirit is insoluble in water and is used as an extraction solvent, as a cleaning solvent, as a degreasing solvent and as a solvent in aerosols, paints, wood preservatives, lacquers, varnishes, and asphalt products. In western Europe about 60% of the total white spirit consumption is used in paints, lacquers and varnishes.[1] White spirit is the most widely used solvent in the paint industry. In households, white spirit is commonly used to clean paint brushes after use, to clean auto parts and tools, as a starting fluid for charcoal grills, to remove adhesive residue from non-porous surfaces, and many other common tasks.

Industrial tyre oil—also referred to as tyre pyrolysis oil (tpo)—is a dark, viscous liquid fuel obtained through the pyrolysis (thermal decomposition in the absence of oxygen) of waste tyres. It is used as an alternative industrial fuel in boilers, furnaces, and certain heating applications due to its reasonable energy content and cost-effectiveness.Key Features:Appearance: Dark brown to black liquid, with a strong, smoky odor.Viscosity: Medium to high; may require heating for efficient flow and combustion.Calorific Value: Typically 9,500–10,500 kcal/kg, comparable to furnace oil.Sulfur Content: Can be high (~1–2.5%), depending on the feedstock and pyrolysis conditions.

Pyrolysis Tyre Oil is a synthetic fuel derived from the pyrolysis of end-of-life tires in an oxygen-free environment. This thermochemical process breaks down the rubber polymers into smaller hydrocarbon chains, producing a dark, viscous liquid fuel with calorific value comparable to conventional furnace oils.Key Features:Derived from recycling waste tiresHigh calorific value (typically 9,500–10,500 kcal/kg)Alternative to Furnace Oil or LSHSDark brown to black in appearance

Carbon black feedstock oil (cbfs) is a high-quality, heavy oil that is primarily used in the production of carbon black, a key ingredient in various industrial products, such as rubber, plastics, paints, and coatings. Cbfs is produced as a byproduct from the refining of petroleum or the pyrolysis of hydrocarbons, and it contains a high concentration of aromatic hydrocarbons, making it ideal for use in carbon black manufacturing.Key Features:Rich in Aromatic Compounds: CBFS contains a significant amount of aromatic hydrocarbons (such as benzene, toluene, and xylene), which are crucial for carbon black production.High Viscosity: Typically, CBFS has high viscosity and can be semi-solid at ambient temperatures. It requires heating or dilution for handling and use.Flammability and Flashpoint: It is flammable with a relatively high flashpoint, making it suitable for industrial applications.Byproduct of Petroleum Refining: It is derived from the residual oil from petroleum refining or pyrolysis, making it an economical source of feedstock for carbon black production.

Carbon black feedstock oil is a crucial raw material for producing carbon black, a material used extensively in rubber, plastics, inks, and coatings. It's typically a heavy petroleum fraction or a blend of aromatic oils derived from coal tar or crude oil. The key parameters for feedstock selection are the Bureau of Mines Correlation Index and sulfur content, with higher aromaticity (indicated by BMCI) and lower sulfur content being desirable.

Mixed hydrocarbon oil (mho) is a blended petroleum-based fuel composed of various hydrocarbon fractions. It is typically used in industrial combustion systems, such as furnaces, kilns, and boilers, particularly where fuel flexibility and cost-effectiveness are priorities. Mho is also used in asphalt mixing plants and other high-temperature processing industries.Key Features:Blend of Hydrocarbons: Composed of light to heavy petroleum distillates, often recovered or by-product streams.Variable Viscosity: Depending on the blend composition, it may range from moderately viscous to heavy; often requires preheating for proper atomization.Medium Calorific Value: Typically offers a decent energy output (around 9,000–11,000 kcal/kg), suitable for industrial thermal applications.Color & Appearance: Usually dark brown to black, with an oily texture.

We ar engaged in offering the most preferred range of Minerial Turpentine Oil (MTO) This high grade MTO offered by us is a special boiling point spirit. The superior quality liquid is also known by different names such as spirit, White spirit and Turpentine. Our fluid consists of volatile fraction derived from petroleum and is composed essentially of paraffinic, naphthenic and aromatic hydrocarbons in varying proportions. This oil is clear and is water-white in color. This product is mostly used to dissolve say resins, rubber, and bitumen and also to reduce the viscosity of the solutions produced.
